Khan Bonshek were approached to reconfigure and rationalise a Victorian terrace in East Ham. The house suffered from a series of poor quality additions which blocked natural light and airflow, resulting in dark and claustrophobic internal spaces.
Khan Bonshek have proposed a red engineering brick and zinc hipped gabled extension to create bright lofty living spaces. The hipped massing responds to Newhams tight urban grain allowing for generous floor to ceiling heights internally whilst minimising the impact upon neighbouring homes.
A dormer loft extension and additional family bathroom will make the home more comfortable for a growing family.
